An exclusive one-class

The Figaro Bénéteau 2

Desired and dreamed by the skipper, designed by the naval architect Marc Lombard and produced by Bénéteau, the Figaro Bénéteau 2 started up in the Figaro Bénéteau circuit, during 2003.
The boat has been built using the new infusion technology for the hull, the deck and the structures, a technology that allows to control the weight of the structure, with quantities of resin always identical on all the boats. With its 10,10 m. (one meter longer than the previous model) and the 3 tons including 1.100 kg. in the keel, this one-class is certified in the “A” category off-shore races. The two rudders and the wide stern, ensure a good stability. By lowering the center of gravity, the architect Marc Lombard has designed a lighter boat with a more skimmed hull, for giving greater performances. The Figaro Bénéteau 2 has a relatively large sail surface. The carbon mast, holds a main sail of 36 m˛ and one spinnaker of 90 m˛. Designed also for the crew race, the cockpit is wide. The inside empty is 1,85 m. high, it has 4 light berths, one chart table and a small galley. Modern and funny, the Figaro Bénéteau offer the opportunity of new horizons and great emotions to everybody.
